This series of works was inspired by my mother's work from her undergrad. She was in a painting class and was tasked with creating a three-dimensional work from her two-dimensional pieces. I grew up looking at this work in my childhood home and always admired it, so much that in my mid-twenties I decided to use it as a precedent in my own works.
